What is a Solar Eclipse?
A solar eclipse is a natural occurrence of beauty that occurs when the moon passes between the sun and earth, blocking the sun’s view and casting a shadow at a specific area upon the earth. The event in itself is a sight to marvel at and occurs almost every 6 months in a general. In the past solar eclipses were considered bad omens but scientist have now managed to accurately predict eclipses and explain how they occur.

What is a Total Solar Eclipse
So, during a solar eclipse there is a part of the earth that experiences a total blocking of the sun, that is, the moon covers the disk of the sun completely while passing, the area that is directly underneath this phenomenon is said to be experiencing a total solar eclipse at that time. Naturally other areas within that part of the earth will also experience the solar eclipse but from an angle, so they don’t get to see the moon fully cover the sun but partially.
